CyL Farmers Award - Premios Cincho
Cincho Awards for Milk Quality from Dairy Farmers in Castile and Leon
The purpose of these awards is to recognize the excellence of dairy farms in Castile and Leon, producing a milk of excellence from sheep, cows and goats, with the highest physical-chemical and hygienic-sanitary properties.
All dairy farms that carry out their quality self-checks at the Interprofessional Dairy Laboratory of Castile and Leon (LILCYL) and whose results of milk samples corresponding to the reference period (12 months, from April 2023 to March 2024) are eligible for this award.
The values in the LILCYL database corresponding to the physical-chemical parameters (fat and protein percentage) and indicators of hygienic-sanitary quality (microbiological and somatic cell counts) will be used.
Selection of finalists
The farmers with the highest scores will be selected and notified that they have been shortlisted for the awards. Those selected will then be asked to expressly accept the prize. The Technical commitee responsible for awarding the prizes will be made up of ITACYL and LILCYL staff.
Awarding of prizes
The awards ceremony will take place on the framework of the CINCHO 2024 Awards ceremony with the consequent dissemination to the media. The prize will consist of a trophy and a diploma.
